Shipping Policy

Expected Shipping Time All items will be shipped within 1-3 business days via UPS or the US Postal Service. Any prospected delay falling outside of this range will be dealt with on a customer to customer basis.

If an item or part of your order is out of stock, we will contact you to ask if we should ship a Partial Shipment. We do this because we know that you want your equipment as fast as possible.

Fraud Verification

We proactively monitor incoming orders for fraud risk and stolen credit cards. If our system flags your order, we will contact you via email and/or telephone to verify your identity and order information. We do this to protect the card holder from possible fraud. This could delay your shipment, so please make sure to respond in a timely manner. If your order is flagged as extremely high risk, then we will cancel your order and refund the payment immediately.

Return Policy

Unused/unopened products can be refunded or credited within 10 days of the delivery date or in-store purchase date, with a 15% restocking fee for products over $50. Used or worn merchandise will not be accepted. Customer will be responsible for return shipping

Defective items can be returned if we are notified within 48 hours of the receipt or delivery. A return label will be issued by Muirskate.

We will not accept or refund any items returned more than 30 days from the receipt or delivery.

If a product was purchased on sale, the terms of that sale are final. This specifically relates to last years products, or discontinued products.  Products like this are typically marked on sale on the website, and have a Red Sale Sticker on the Product Photo.

Muirskate will issue refunds once items have been received and determined undamaged. We will notify you once we have issued the refund. Refunds may take 4-7 business days depending on your financial institution. Refunds must include a copy of the original invoice and reason for the return or credit. An insured/trackable shipping service is required. We do not require a RA (Return Authorization). Refunds may take up to 7 business days to process and will be issued in the original form of payment used for the purchase.

Any promotional items such as free T-shirts, T-Tools, or hardware that is received with the order must also be returned in order to receive a full refund.  Not returning a promotional item will result in the un-returned item's retail value being deducted from the refund the customer receives.

Exchange Policy

If you are looking to exchange a product for a different size please notify us via email: nate@muirskate.com. Used or worn merchandise will not be accepted. Customer will be responsible for return shipping.

If we do not have a product available for an exchange because we are out of that size we will notify the customer and see if they would like to:
1.Wait for the new size to come in, if possible.
2. Received a refund. If a refund is the method of action, we will proceed as we would above.

Refund Policy

Refunds are issued once your item(s) are received and we determine that they are not damaged or used. Returns must be received within 60 days of the original date of purchase in order to be eligible for a refund. Please be aware that once we issue your refund, it will take 3-7 business days for the banks to release your funds.

If you were charged for shipping, and you want to return an item, shipping will not be refunded on your order.


Website Product Price/Info Mistake Policy and Bounty

Muirskate is a very large website with a ton of products that are incredibly nuanced to input, sort and track. Sometimes we make mistakes and we do not want to bum you out. We are very grateful when customers bring them to our attention so that we can fix the website and continue to offer the best service possible. Because this is so useful for us, we want to reward you for finding these mistakes! If you find one of the listed website errors we will give you a 15% off code to use with your next order.

Here are a list of website errors that qualify for a Discount:
-Product Price is $0, or way to high, or improperly calculated. If you find a price on our website that is more than $5 off the price the brand has on their website, let us know. Making sure that we are up to date on all the industry pricing is important to us, and we want to make sure that you dont ever spend more with Muirskate then you have to. If you do find a product that is $0 and you purchase it, we will send you a Bounty code, but we cannot sell you a product for $0.

Storytime: It has happened twice now where a customer finds a $0 product and orders it and then gets upset when we dont sell them 5 rolls of griptape for $5, or do not sell them 60 Caliber 3 trucks for $0. While it is funny to see someone order 95 pounds of Skateboard Trucks, we cannot stay in business if we do that, so we have decided to reward people for finding these errors.

-Product variants are missing. If we have a product like the Seismic 83mm Tailwind Wheels, which come in 2 durometers; 76a Mango Defcon and 79a Mint Defcon. If one of those durometers is missing, let us know, and get a website bounty code.

- Product is Missing: If you see us post about a product online via social media, youtube review, or Times Square Billboard, and cannot find it on the website, let us know, and we will fix it, and you will get a bounty. It is important that we have the products we stock available for our customers to buy.

- Product is in the wrong area: Must be in clearly in the wrong spot, non associated products, but we are here to make the website better, so here is an example. If you click on the Bearing Search Button and you see products like bearing spacers, bearing lubricant, and speed-rings we wouldn't consider that the wrong place on the website. If you click on bearings, and see a set of wheels, a complete longboard, etc bring it to our attention and we will get you your bounty!
Making it easy to find products and navigate the site is our goal, if you help us with that we will get you sorted out.

- Product Title Misspelling. This one is easy. If the product title is misspelled, bounty secured. If you cant find a product because the name is wrong, that is a problem for all of us!

Muir Skate knows that you care about how your personal information is used and shared on the internet and you can completely trust in our site to use that information carefully and sensibly. We receive and store any information you enter on our web site or give us in any other way. As much as possible we try to make the information we collect optional to you so you can choose what personal information to enter and what not to enter. By signing up for the free newsletter service you will receive every so often receive a newsletter with Muir Surf and Sport surf reports, articles, surf product updates, and special announcements from MuirSkate.com. At ANY time, you may unsubscribe from our emails by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our emails or by going to your personal profile page and unchecking the "Receive Newsletters" feature.

What information do we collect when I purchase from the store?
When you order, we need to know all the relevant information in order to get our goods to your door and communicate any information about your order to you. This includes your name and address for shipping and your email address to notify you of your order status. We also collect credit card information, but do not store it, so that we can process your order.

How does MuirSkate.com protect my customer information?
When you place orders or access your account information, we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access.
