Orangatang is out with another line of longboard skateboard wheels - The Kilmer is the mid-size wheel in the line up, measuring in at 69mm in diameter.
In comparison to the Stimulus, Orangatang's previous 70mm wheel, the Kilmer features a larger core and a larger contact patch. The larger core means that this wheel will be easier to accelerate and will be slightly faster than the Stimulus. The larger contact patch allows for the wheel to grip a tad more than the Stimulus.
This wheel will be great for downhill and freeride boards. The word from several Muir Skate crew members is that this wheel is pure money (it's really good!) Take this wheel to any of your favorite hills and shred. This wheel will be able to perform without a doubt.
Pick up whichever flavor peaks your interest.
The orange (80a) will wear the fastest, but leave you with satisfying buttery slides.
The purple (83a) will give you the best of both worlds of sliding and decent wear.
The yellow (86a) will provide you with long slides and nice wear patterns.
69 mm diameter | 48 mm width | 39.5 mm contact | 159 g/wheel | centerset bearing seat
An ace at both supersonic speeds and tight, hairpin-riddled dogfights, The Kilmer keeps it cool like ice in any freeride-focused mission. The Kilmer is the star student with a size and personality that everyone can love. Just say, “You can be my wingman anytime.” Come on, baby, bite my wire.
We're a bunch of San Diego skaters in a warehouse, assembling your longboards by hand, making sure you get the best ride under your feet. Yes, we need to pay the rent, but we're in this to spread the stoke of skating as far and wide as we can.
Founded back in 2005, Muir Skate started out as a 400 sqft shop at UCSD's John Muir College. Now located in a 7,000 sqft warehouse, just 10 minutes away from our birthplace, Muir Skate sells high quality longboard skateboard gear and sets the bar for best customer service. And we pronounce it "me-ew-er".
