Description

Howdy, Y'all! Daniel "Danger" Engel here!

I am 29 years old, born and raised in Bakersfield, California! I love and live to ride all kinds of skateboards! In fact, I have been riding skateboards for 21 years. In all, eleven years have been consumed by downhill skateboarding. I ride snowboards in the off-season to keep my legs strong and fit for each up-and-coming professional downhill race season!

I put in a lot of time promoting my sponsors such as; Muirskate, Venom, BamBam Gloves, and GMR throughout the year!

I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel the world circuit as a sponsored downhill racer for the past few years. I've seen many podiums in my career and have been ranked 3rd in the IDF World Circuit. In addition, I was ranked 8th in the World Championships in Barcelona, Spain.

My goals are simple: I would like to be the Downhill World Circuit Champion in 2021-22. I would also be honored to represent the USA Olympic Team in 2024. I do see a future in Downhill Skateboard for up-and-coming downhill racers. I envision myself as a professional coach training young downhill skateboarding athletes that aspire to reach the Olympic Games in the years to come.

Now comes the GMR Tucker Pro-Team Model!

I have ridden several versions of the Tucker over the last 4 years and I can tell you straight-up that this edition is what you want for the tightest racing to the flowiest freeriding!

The concave keeps me feeling locked-in under all conditions even though the deck itself is quite playful. I promise with my whole heart that this is the board of your dreams!

Love you all! I hope to skate with you soon!

GMR's Description

The GMR X Rolling Tree Signature Series Pro Tucker is now available!!
Boasting a 32 inch length and a 9 inch width, along with a 22 inch wheelbase, this little rocket is sure to get you to the top of podiums and rail inside lines with ease. With the incredibly ergonomic Acedia concave and race inspired GMR shape, you will have full control over your board at all times. This boards construction features maple, fiberglass, a laminate top sheet, and a carbon fiber bottom in the most optimum ratio to create a board that will not be flimsy under heavier riders or lots of pressure, but also won’t give you a rough ride from road vibrations that an incredibly stiff board would. 100% Made in America. GMR Skateboards has been making boards that innovate Skateboard Racing for over 10 years now, so what better way to celebrate than making a signature series collection with people who have influenced the brand a lot. Nick Broms, Daniel Engel, and Mischo Erban compliment the spirit behind GMR Skateboards.

GMR Signature Series - Daniel Engel

Very well built. Based on Rolling Tree design 'Acedia' concave & 'W' profile, the GMR deck is very comfortable, solid & stiff at 32 inches. The Engels deck has a slightly rough finish on the carbon fiber and has reddish metal flake incorporated in the carbon fiber adding a nice racy touch. Finished with Caliber 158mm trucks, Quei 75a White Killers, Bones Bearings, Venom Bushings & Vicious Griptape. Purchase for my daughter while I ride the Acedia 35" deck. Wanted another so I am purchasing the Nick Broms Signature deck as well. Setup one for downhill & one for freeriding.

I’ve been riding a Moonshine Pro Tucker for about a year now and even though I haven’t actually received this deck yet, I’m beyond excited. Been wanting to transition to a GMR deck for a while now and this couldn’t have been a better chance to do so. Thank you Muirskate for always coming in clutch! ✌🏻🙌🏻
