Moonshine MFG's Description

Our most function double-kick ever just got better! The Elixir is the ultimate quiver killer. Cures boredom, lack of sleep, lack of excitement and it has been known to improve your love life. Freestyle, dance, freeride and slide with comfort and control.
For 2019 we slimmed down and refined the shape for increased durability and freestyle performance. The Elixir features heavy duty wheel flares, a symmetrical shape, with double-kick and rockered radial concave.

Feels flat and shreds if you're into that

I bought the board mainly as a stiffer "do everything" kind of board that I could take to college and back in a checked suitcase. I do a lot of dancing and it does that well. It's super light, has ample pop, and overall is a great buy. Here's what's strange to me, however: I'm used to boards with a lot of concave and rocker. Even my popsicle board for the street has a tub concave that lets my feet know where they are when near the edges. This thing feels completely flat even tho it supposedly has mild rocker and concave. The rocker is not noticeable at all coming from riding a lot of Landyahctz and Loaded boards. Feels a lot like an old sector board (which isn't bad, just not exactly my favorite feeling) so it took some adjusting to get used to. My feet would slip off when I expected an edge of concave to grip my feet but if you're into the freedom of a flat deck more power to you. Once I got my bearings I was having a blast but if you're someone that likes dancing and freestyle on a rocker than isn't just the resemblance of rocker I'd look elsewhere. Durable as hell tho, taken it off ledges, sent it flying into curbs and scraped the tail to Timbuktu and it's still holding up strong so you don't have to worry about the life of the board at all. Worth the investment
Great so far

It’s my first longboard, so I have nothing to compare it too. Liking it so far. Lightweight and firm, even under my 210lbs.

This deck is even more gorgeous in person! I wanted a waterproof deck for a rain set-up, with a shape that I could be confident standing on that would be functional in different situations. It is so different from all the other longboards I own, I really have nothing to compare it to. It has features I never had on other decks. Besides the awesome green urethane rails & mounting holes it has flush mounts. While the concave depth (rail to rail) is comfortable for me the verdict is still out on the rocker-style concave (nose to tail), which is why I'm giving it 4-stars for now. It's my first rocker deck so expect an update on this review after I have had more time to play around with it. Plus, I'm hoping to use this board in trying more advanced tricks since it has the urethane rails, I can concentrate on the actual trick & not worry about smashing it into a curb and de-laminating it. One cool thing I wasn't expecting was this deck came packaged with the letters that were die-cut from the grip tape. It's going to be fun to see if I can use them to come up with any dirty anagrams!
