Prism Theory V2 Longboard Skateboard Deck w/ Grip
The 2017 Prism Theory V2 combines a traditional top mount with a micro-drop to give you the best of both the freeride and downhill world.
The Theory comes in at 36" long, 10" wide, and wheelbase options ranging from 26-27" for a very nimble yet stable feel. Micro drops in the front and back give you something to wedge your front and back foot into to keep you where you are, while the W concave gives you added leverage and stiffness.
Rocker runs from truck mount to truck mount, with flush mounts keeping your truck angles true so you wont have to worry about dewedging.
All in all, this board is great for riders who are looking for a downhill/freeride board with lots of features. For such a complex concave, the Theory is one of the more comfortable boards out there.
We recommend setting this board up with 184mm Caliber II Trucks and 70mm Blood Orange Liam Morgan Wheels.
The Theory reminds us that barriers can always be pushed, whether it’s on the skateboard or the curves we press into them. Rocker and wheel flares create the illusion of a dropped platform while radial concave and mild W-concave keep your feet planted.
Same tried and true shape/mold but with a new layup: 7 plies of maple, 2 sheets of prepreg fiberglass, and laminated with epoxy.
L: 36" | W: 10" | WB: 26-27"
Great for downhill beginnersBy Kieren on 2020-10-29 Verified Purchase
Haven't taken it down many hills as of just getting it, but under 15-20mph it just feels like it wants to go faster. My feet feel so comfy in a tuck. I'm just getting into downhill stuff but I can tell this is a board I'll be glad to be learning on.

Como un guanteBy Jorsh on 2020-10-14 Verified Purchase
the Only top mount i've had before this was the Prism Hindsight. And while its a great board it became apparent that it wasn't for me. As a novice skater, forcing my stance into a smaller WB didn't seem that bad, but after feeling the Theory's WB plus microdrops, I'm never going back. I think the description on mellow "W concave" is a loose description. Compared the the hindsight it seems more predominant, but it feels more comfortable to me (however thats personal preference). Also after riding mainly a drop thru board for freeriding the micro drops are a perfect intermediary feature to transition me out of my drop thrus (cuz that shit scary at 30mph). Finally the rocker is just enough to give me peace of mind without being too much. Other nitty gritty things I like a lot is just the graphic. I kinda stared at it for the first whole day I got it. Also on other boards with flush mounting the inner bolts wills stick out further than the other bolts which isn't great when there's too much thread sticking out for me to turn the nut. However ALL EIGHT bolts are the perfect length, which just makes me happy inside (1inch hardware btw). On an unrelated note, on the first day I used it I learned Standup FS 180's. But that's not in correlation to the deck. Thats just me.
Really Good BoardBy Tai Ho Yin on 2020-08-11
Super stiff with no give, got a nice weight to it, the concaves really hug your feet no need for a foot stop. Build quality is super good board is nicely sealed.
PerfectionBy Banning Lyth on 2020-07-02
I got this as my first board for freeride and downhill, and I want a new one when/if it dies. This board has the PERFECT concave and features. The W keeps my toesides feeling confident, and the microdrop acts as a footstop when bombing hills. This concave is medium-mellow, and doesn't fatigue my feet. HIGHLY recommend for all skill levels, but beginners will find peace learning on this board.
This board is exactly what I've been waiting for.By Leon on 2020-04-10
In a word, Freaking awesome👍 Perfect board for free-riding and downhill. Feels like drop through and top mount at the same time. One of the most my favorite part is the 'Micro drops in the back'. That feels very comfortable and don't makes slipping my back food when do sliding.
Made to freerideBy Alex on 2019-05-30 Verified Purchase
This board is exactly what you're looking for if you want to learn to free ride. The w concave and wheel flares keep your feet locked in at all times. The quality just speaks for itself. This board is definitely worth the money, you won't regret buying it!

I looked at this board for almost a year. Trying to decide which board would be my next and this board delivers in every way. It's the Cadillac of Downhill boards.
