This site has the best customer service I've ever had.
As soon as my board got here it was set up and ready to go.
Even the trucks were set up perfectly.
And my new durians were great. Carving and sliding right out of the box.
I can't wait until i break them in.
The only thing i can say is BUY FROM MUIR NO WHERE ELSE!
I had one issue but it wasn't the shops fault.
My shipment had been rescheduled for a day.
Was a slight annoyance but not a big deal.
All around a great experience!
Definitely the best skate shop around. I'm just lucky I live in SD as well :) The best longboard line up in town..period. Add to that the staff knows everything there is to know about all disciplines and you have a shop you can trust with your money and your noggin. Very chill atmosphere in this shop...like going to your buddy's pad but here all questions are answered with honest opinions and recommendations. After ASR a year ago, I had time to kill so I dropped by your shop.
One of the things I noticed is how well stocked your shop is. Small but
really well stocked with good stock.

I'm sure you remember the Voodoo XL you sent out about a week ago, and the man who asked you a thousand questions about everything. I feel that the ultimate test of success for online businesses is being able to impress my dad. You told him you'd call back on certain days, and never kept him waiting for those calls. He also explained to me how appreciative he was of your honesty with the deals going on on your site, when in my other experiences the owners did not honor their discounts on out of stock items. The promotional shop cards that you included in the box were handed out to kids at my college during finals week, and if you would like to send more for me to hand out, I gladly would. You run an awesome business, and I will definitely be supporting Muir Skate in the future. For anyone on the fence about trying a new online shop to buy their skate gear, I highly suggest Muir Skate now.

Great customer support. Normally I'm pretty bad at talking to store owners about products, but with Scott, it was definitely different. It is a very friendly environment. I think my ~1.3 hr drive down to their shop was worth it. It is the first place I've been to that sold longboards that do not only include Sector 9 and Arbor. Plus, I got a discount off my deck which is awesome.
If I had a job, I'd probably order more things from here.
They were great! Scott gave me an extraordinarily friendly comment and threw in the free bushings (6 of them). I ordered Saturday night and it was shipped Monday morning. What more could I ask for? I will be giving them my business from now on. Plus I got 10% off. My original order was pushing $270 and it came out to $238.

After calling Muir and talking to the guys there, they said they would hook me up for sure. I drove 60 miles further than my local shop based on the way they treated me. They in return got the green, and I got exactly what I wanted. A great product at a great price. They honored the 15% off sale that had ended a few days before. Seth was a chill cat who didn't try to sell me a bunch of add ons, and even gave me a few set up tips. I will be headed there in the future based on customer service, and the fact that they hooked me up. Sad for my local shop, but I take care of those looking out for me.

Fast shipping, excellent communication and top notch customer service. i would definitely buy from here again. The only thing i can think of that they can improve on is to have better product description and pictures on some of the hardware, but thats really minor.

When I told them about this, they asked me details about what was going wrong and actually cared about fixing it. They also apologized for any inconvienience.
My order over the phone went extremely smoothly. Scott checked and made sure everything was in stock, repeated my order and all my information back to me to make sure it was 100% correct, and actually had a conversation with me. He really took his time and didn't try and rush me. Shipped the same day, and got a personal email with my tracking information, not an automated one. Wish we had shops this good on the East Coast! Can't say enough good things about my experience with this store, they will DEFINITELY get my business first when shopping for longboard gear. SHOP HERE!
Just wanted to drop by and tell everyone how great of an experience I had when ordering from Scott at muir skate. I got the best customer service I have ever experienced purchasing anything. (Thu Jul 16, 2009 at 07:27 PM)I was drawn to Muir due to their extremely competitive prices. When I found out that they were also running a 15% off deal during July, I was blown away.
I tweaked what I was looking for over a few days on the Muir website (I even commented that I'd kind of like to get NoSkoolz, which weren't in the options for a custom complete, and soon after, they had been added!), and finally decided to order via phone. The way I wanted to go about paying for my order was kind of inordinately complicated. I had two giftcards (from different companies) and a debit card to make my purchase, and Scott was totally cool with that. In addition to that, he took extra time to talk about my setup with me on the phone and offer tips and advice based on my personal situation and plans for the board. Finally, he threw in free bearing spacers and will have the packaged shipped the day after the order was placed.
Overall, my experience with Muir has been exceptional in every sense of the word, and I will be hard-pressed to buy anything that Muir carries from any other shop.
Fantastic customer service, Scott called me and gave me some info and had some questions about my set up, after which he tweaked it and saved me a bit of money! Also spoke with him on the phone today and he gave me a bunch of great advice on my next purchase.

All products in their catalog are based on what's popular and what's of good quality. I have walked in their shop several times when they were packing up orders that came in that same morning, there's first-rate service for you. You know a skate shop is full of stoke when they put a skate ramp INSIDE their shop!

Honestly didn't give them much thought since I was living in SF and had my local shop that I "supported" ($$$)! However after moving back to Texas and discovering that there might be a lot of things bigger in Texas, mostly attitude and hair, but the longboard selection in the DFW Metro-plex is DEFINITELY not! After surfing virtually EVERY web site available trying to find the perfect combination of want and need, I checked out Muir... BEST service, GREAT selection (in stock as well, not just pictures!!), KNOWLEDGABLE staff... I haven't been this stoked on a shop in YEARS, not even my "home" store in NorCal.

The board only came 2 days later... it almost worker out better!

Killer events, the stoke is high in that store.
A pricing mishap landed me with the setup for $167 shipped from West Coast to East Coast. Despite the error they let me have the setup without paying the extra because Scott said "I deserved the board for searching online to find the cheapest place. If you look everywhere on the internet you will find what you're looking for at the right price." Despite getting the board for about $100 less than I should have he still threw in some stickers, a shirt, a Concrete Wave mag, etc. This place is DA BOMB!!!

The only things I'd like to see improved would be the customizations on the complete set ups and confirmations on the purchase. After my purchase, I didn't receive a confirmation via email. I followed up directly to ensure everything went through. Scott made sure the order was received and out for delivery on time. Their site's new and their shaking out the kinks, but they'll do well if they can produce volume with the outstanding prices and personalized service.
