Description

The Gravity Kalai longboard skateboard is a drop through design that makes freeride skateboarding a reality. The Kalai has moderate concave that gives the feet a really comfortable feel on the platform. Rail to rail the Gravity Kalai Longboard skateboard maneuvers with ease. You will feel in control because the Kalai is a drop through deck that has a lower center of control making the board more stable at speed. The Kalai is definitely an all around longboard skateboard great for the beach and trips to the store.

The Gravity Kalai works really well with Randal 180 Longboard skateboard trucks. Randal trucks can be modified with upgraded bushings for downhill, cruising, and freeriding. Venom and Khiro bushings are what we recommend. For Downhill and cruising we would recommend that you try the 76mm Gravity Hi-Grade longboard skateboard wheels. For Freeriding we like the 70mm Stimulus and the 75mm Durians by orangatang. These wheels have amazing rebound and have a predictable slide into turns.

Engineered over the past 2 years, this board is ready. The Kalai has several advantages over similar boards that really make it shine. Instead of working with all bamboo, we used a blend of bamboo and cross ply maple. The cross ply maple is used to stiffen the torsional flex of the board that plagues all bamboo boards. We also use a pre-tensioned composite that is substantionally stiffer, and stronger than a tradional 'wet' layup of epoxy fiberglass. You can really feel the difference that this composite makes in the higher rebound flex.
